There is no rose quite like the Rose de Mai. Harvested once a year in the fields of Grasse, France — the perfume capital of the world — this rare centifolia rose blooms for just a few precious weeks each May. Thousands of hand-picked petals yield only a few drops of absolute, making it one of the most coveted and luxurious ingredients in fine perfumery.

The scent is breathtaking: deeply floral, slightly honeyed, and velvety warm, with a richness that unfolds slowly on the skin. Unlike synthetic rose, Rose de Mai absolute carries a living complexity — green and dewy at first breath, then full-bodied and rosy at the heart, with a soft, powdery, almost jammy dry-down that lingers for hours.

A cornerstone of classic and modern perfumery alike, Rose de Mai blends exquisitely with Jasmine, Blue Lotus, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Benzoin, and Angelica Root. For top notes, try Bergamot, Sweet Orange, or Cassis to lift and brighten the composition.

Dark orange-yellow in colour. Use diluted. Recommended dilution: 1–3% in a carrier oil or perfume base.
