When I found this Cedar Atlas oil — sustainably harvested in the Atlas Mountains of North Africa — it impressed me immensely with its complex composition. It inspired an Art Deco era fragrance-masculine with a violet dry-down- it captures a lush, untamed woodland with soft, herbal, earthy woodiness. Rose geranium, also from Africa (Southern), has a wild, herbal character reminiscent of wild ferns, blending with the cedar effortlessly.
Green, crisp violet leaf evokes waterfalls and violet flowers- moisture dripping from lush leaves. Hyacinth — indigenous to Turkey, Syria and the Middle East — and Baltic amber recall blooming flowers and golden resin oozing from ancient trees, while beeswax absolute brings a gentle, honeyed warmth to the dry down.
